Spendless jam doughnut is a cashback app, you buy vouchers for shops and get cashback and can then use topcashback when spending the vouchers online. I don't know if referral codes are allowed here but if you want to talk more then send me a message.
Stocking fillers in my house are not wrapped, neither is their main present from father Christmas. Presents tagged from people are wrapped and under the tree.1 -
Thank you for explanation.
I never used to wrap stocking presents because I have no family tradition to fall back on. I wanted to stop doing stockings when kids were younger because I never felt I got it 'right' due to this. When DD was 9, she described stocking presents as being like a lucky dip but every prize out is connected to the recipients life (whereas previously I bought items cos they were small regardless of whether they were used) and should be wrapped. I've done it like this ever since and I do think I've improved since the early days.Just if I can improve on how they look when I fill though their days are probably numbered. I don't do one anymore for DS who is 23 and married, just DD
Nothing was ever specifically from Santa, all presents were delivered by him, but we were sent the bill to pay for it.1 -
Merry Christmas all! 🎄 I hope you have a wonderful day with your families and that all of your plans came together in the end xx2

Merry Christmas everyone. My Mum was well enough to come for Christmas. I hope you all have a lovely day and see you on the 2024 thread.2

Hope everyone has a lovely day - I have just finished my dinner and am bloated. I have never done stockings, Christmas Eve boxes or elf on the shelf. See you soon on the new thread! XXXStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.672

Merry Christmas from me too. Dinner done, tummy full, but the best part is that everyone was so thankful for the gifts that were my "bargains" picked up throughout the year :-) Already thinking about 2024 (not that I'm wishing my life away!)
Enjoy the rest of the festive season and see you all next year. xx2 -
Merry Christmas all. Hope everyone has had a good day. All gifts well received here and plenty of food as we couldn’t host due to my Covid lurgy 😭 Will all get eaten over the next week or so!Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings2

Merry Christmas everyone. Have enjoyed our day that has seemed more 'filled' than usual due to going out for lunch. Meal was fine, service was slow and was very glad we chose an earlier sitting as 20 minutes after the end time we were meant to have our table for we still hadn't been served desserts, which was good for us after a bit meal but not for the people who were dining later.
My parents liked their presents and Mum said she knew straight away why I'd given them garden path lights - thank you for that idea @mandco
DD had to cancel going out with her friend Xmas Eve due to her bad cough and thought she wasn't getting a XE hamper this year due to going out so was pleased when one turned up, with new comfy PJs and 'self care' package items in it.
See you all on the new thread2 -
I hope you've had a lovely couple of days?
DH has been on good form, so that has been a bit of a relief.

@princesskitty29 will you start a new thread for next year or do we carry on in this one?
I've actually started thinking about next Christmas already, so I'm hoping I am more prepared and sorted earlier in December than this year!new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £03 -
Hi all,
Hope you all enjoyed the festivities!
I still have a dry cough and a sinus-y head - Covid really is the gift that keeps on giving! I couldn't taste my Christmas dinner but I wasn't going to bring everyone else down, so made sure my glass was topped up all day - did have a bit of a warm glow come the evening!
I too am thinking ahead to present buying for next year - birthdays and Christmas. Have marked up my diary with all the birthdays to send cards/gifts for. Think there's usually a new thread, but will wait to see. We want to pay off our mortgage next year so need to be super on budget and sensible.
