The awful wind has gone, thank goodness, though the rain returned overnight. Annoyingly, after cancelling meeting up with Camelot yesterday the day turned bright and mostly dry. In the early morning I drove up to Oban again as I had some things to return to a shop there and wanted to post off a parcel. When I was there I decided to have a bite of breakfast in Tesco. For a change I ordered the chorizo, avocado and poached eggs which was so blooming tasty. Since lockdown food there is made to order which makes such a huge difference.Once dawn has broken I'm going to decide about my day, it's all depends on the weather again. I've a load of stuff in the car to go to my favourite CS. So, nothing too exciting on my agenda. 😀
I hope that all those struggling with health or family are doing OK. Happy Saturday to all.12 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, glad you could at least get out yesterday.
After a gloriously sunny but breezy afternoon it's back to rain this morning. Bedding in the WM, that can go on the pulley today and I'll re-make the bed in a minute, I'm out all day so want to get it done so it's not a surprise when I get home!
After swimming I went to buy logs (only use one a day to get the fire going ready for the coal) and bought some sale clothes in the Morrisons sale, only one item to go back as it looked awful. Had an hour tidying up in the garden and went for a walk to take the soft plastic and glass recycling, felt lovely to get out in the fresh air.
Swim this morning then off to visit friends, will visit my favourite charity shop on the way, I have a bag to donate and will probably find something to buy, they always have such lovely vintage plates and dishes there.
Love to hear of your little one enjoying herself dp1, seems she makes everyone smile.
Sounds like you had a good night Rosy.
Glad your appointment was OK taff.
Your work sounds back breaking Izzy, take care. I agree on the sound of the TV, some programmes would probably be quite good but it's too hard to concentrate when you can't hear what they're saying!
Good luck with the viewing NRA and thanks for the updates on Jackie, please send on my best wishes.
Hope the poorlies are recovering, have a good day and take care. XX

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers. What a pity you and Camelot had to cancel your meet up yesterday, hope you can rearrange to meet soon.I didn't post yesterday, we were out all day at a friends's funeral in Northumberland. It went as well as these occasions do - we met up with other friends we hadn't seen for a while. This was the third funeral in just over 8 weeks.Don't know what's happening today, who knows what delights may present themselves!Thinking of our poorly people, Ruby haven't heard from you for a few days, also Nelski.Thoughts to Mehefin and Poppy as well.Take care today folks, whatever you are doing.13

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A bit of a miserable day for us I think with bits of this and that - rain, wind, etc.
Nothing planned for today other than a bed change like CAMELOT but the vacuum expected yesterday never arrived so maybe today! For some reason there is no tracking but as it's a company I have used a few times before I'm not unduly worried. I had a bit of a bonus with my Ocado delivery! Two cartons of Gazpacho that I hadn't ordered! When I did an online Chat about it with them I got the answer - we won't send the driver back for them so eat and enjoy! I looked and they are £4.10 each or 2 for £7 so at that price they should be good but I've never been a lover of cold soup.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering, fed up or anyone else in need of one. Take care all and be safe xx

Hi everyone,
Just a quick one before we go off to pick up the new car. It sounds windy outside but the trees don't look as if they are moving too much. Talking of plants the garden looks a bit of a sorry sight atm. We had 3 cordylines in pots which seem to have been killed by the recent snow and frost, they've survived a few winters but I think that was just too much for them.
The family are coming home today, apparently they went to Malham yesterday and when they arrived Esben cried because they weren't at Nonna and Gaga's house. We are going up on Tuesday evening for a few days, it's Steve's sister-in-law's 75th so we are going to surprise her, if I manage not to let the cat out of the bag first.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers what a shame you and Camelot didn’t get your meet up hopefully soon you have sent the wind down here blowing a hoolie and pouring down I don’t think it’s going to get light today. I’ve just picked up a extra large chicken for 2 pounds I do like my bargains but it’s not helping getting my freezer down so that will be cooked tonight and we will get a few meals off that hung some washing on the clothes horse and that’s all dry this morning need to crack on with some housework today I will start at the top and work my way down and see how far I get we have cleared the decks at work but I must admit it’s nearly killed me off I won’t be happy if I haven’t lost weight this week of course we haven’t seen the bosses wife she has felt conveniently poorly but at least we haven’t had to suffer her moaning. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning everyone
Have just had a nice chat with DD who is now in Budapest - it looks a beautiful place, I'd like to visit one day.
Yesterday I spent some time researching flights to Croatia in the summer - DD was there last year and loved it. She would meet me there. The annoying thing is I'd have to stay in Edinburgh overnight to be at the airport at 4am and the hotels are so expensive as it's in school summer holidays.. I did find a B and B at a more reasonable price but the ones at the actual airport are £200 and more!
This morning I'm going to see Matilda at our local cinema - I expect it to be full of children but DD watched it on Netflix and said it's really good. I did offer to steward but they had enough and I was entitled to a free ticket anyways. Little one will come up later this afternoon and stay the night. She will be delighted as her pirate patch arrived yesterday.
Hope everyone has a good day today x12 -
Hello all, sorry I didn't manage to post yesterday. By the time we'd got home from our night away and then taken the decorations down I was shattered and in bed by 9pm then slept like a log. The hotel was luxurious and the room huge, we even had a king size bed each in the same room, we could have done with a megaphone to communicate ! The afternoon tea was scrumptious and the show was magnificent, although as it was over 3 hours with only a 20min break, everyone was squirming in their seats with numb bum syndrome towards the end. The theatre was packed and I needn't have worried about my cough as you could hear people coughing in all parts of the audience, while mine behaved itself impeccably, well mostly 😁 I wish they would still send the ice cream lady round in the interval though, they'd make a killing !
Today I have to put the decoration boxes in their cupboard and check my food stores as DGS was on a mission to eat everything he could set his eyes on in my absence 🙄 Then I'll potter around, nothing too strenuous because I think I have a trapped nerve near my shoulder blade, perhaps I may have slept awkwardly, but at least the cough is diminishing.
To someone suffering with parent problems sadly you are not alone and I'm surprised I have any hair left after pulling it out in frustration. Coxy was it you ? Many hugs
Hugs to the poorly ones and the MIA's and I hope the others with coughs are feeling better.
Take care all

Morning, I've been run over by a bus in my sleep..But up and at em because I'm helping a friend move a sofa today, or fetch one rather. Luckily, the arms come off so it should fit in the car. Friend has promised food out as a thank you...I never refuse food...Made JPs instead of polpette yesterday in the end so they are there to snack on or to have fried for breakfast with some scrambled eggs. Polpette will come on Sunday. Decs are down and mid sort, half a bag didn't make the cut so far, there will be more. Things are beginning to take longer these days, no get up and go go go..Need a leaf out of Izzys bookIzy, hope you get a rest tomorrow at least! Scarlet, i thought it was happening quite often, I hope you don't have to go to another one for a long time...Gers, sounds lovely, camelot.I'm envious, not of the swim though!, hope you two can meet up soon because peoples is important innit... snoozer, happy new car!! bella, happy new room to you! [ I do appreciate how nice it must be, I have none, zip, zero...] Rosy, thank god for amenable Italian restaurants...
Hope everyone has a good day, hope the not so healthy people can make it through the day...
