Hi everyone
Just popped on quickly as I've had a small disaster tonight
Done some washing and for the first time in my life have managed to dye some clothes pink due to an offending red item.
They are my little boys clothes so don't want them to be pink. Is there any way to correct my error
Cheers everyone
Sarah

Little boys in pink ain't right, don't care how un-pc that is!
Don't worry, your problem can be solved. Glo Care Rescue Colour Run Remover from the supermarket (though not Lidl etc, Sainsbury/Tesco will have it). It's v.easy to use, just a matter of doing the wash again but with the Colour Run stuff added. I used it on an ex-boyfriend's brand new only worn once white shirt and he never suspected it had been blue for a day..ha ha! It'll be on the shelf in the detergent section beside the Vanish, Biotex and what have you. It costs £2.68 for a two pack, according to Tesco.com0 -

I did the same with a pair of black undies sneaking into a white wash (on 90 degrees too), luckily it was only my dressing gown to get most of the colour - this was a few weeks ago, would it be too late to try the Glo Care Rescue Colour Run Remover?? I hope not as i wouldnt want to buy a new dressing gown :0(0 -
ms_london, is it a towelling robe? if so you might be better off dying it I think - especially as the 90 degree wash is liable to have "set" the colour...
Towelling takes the washing machine dyes really really well and a fabby dark colour (one of the jewel purples or greens?) would make it like new.Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...0 -
Thanks Snowy owl your a star.
I thought I had heard of a product that did this but thought I was dreaming itGive me the boy until he's seven and i'll give you the man.0 -
with this glo care stuff...
i have a few white items (one of them my precious white welsh rugby shirt) which someone kindly put through the wash without separating whites/colours.
there is also one plain white vest, and one white vest with detail embroidered on.
all of them have little spots of pink on them from the offending red item.
would i be ok to put them all in as one washload, or should i do them individually?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
My daughters white top has a pink splodge on bottom would diluted bleach remove this if i dunked it carefully?0

try stardrops on an old toothbrush, brush it into the stain and then leave for a while before washing as normal
if the colour isnt too dark / bright it should work
then hang out in the bright sunshine to dry / bleach0 -
I've just made a silly mistake. I did a load of whites and now they look grey :-(
My problem is that I'm not at home atm, I'm in France. Will the products suggested above work if I leave them for a week? I'm home in just over a week!
Thanks in advance0
