Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark, wet and windy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, chips and beans for the menfolk, I had fish and veg.
Work ok, we'll see how today goes.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It seems to be an ok morning as far as I can tell, yesterday was windy, so I got some washing almost dry outside, wonderful for this time of year. This morning I have a dental appointment at 9am, just an inspection and a hygienist appointment. I hope all's well.Glad the bairn enjoyed her party Dp1.Hello Nanny, good to see your post, that cough is certainly knocking everyone out. Hope you'll soon feel better.Pleased to read that you are feeling better TA.I had a phone call yesterday from a friend who has had bad news after medical tests. She already has poor health, but she sounded ok.Thinking of our poorlies today, Mehefin, Poppy, and anyone else who is not well.Take care folks.11

Morning folks - thanks for starting us off nmlc.Yesterday was gloomy for most of the day though milder than earlier in the week. I was mildly productive as I sorted out some paperwork and a couple of drawers. It's like almost every one I open has assorted tat or unwanted stuff in it. I've now got a load to go to a CS or being offered out. The postie brought me a box of sale items I'd ordered from JL so there's even more cardboard to go out.
I've made a little mess of my main spreadsheet the other day so spent a long time trying to sort it and account for some 'missing money'. Didn't manage it yesterday so I'll tackle it again on Saturday. This morning I'm going up to Oban and collecting my car less friend on the way. His wife may come this time too so I'll have to clear a bit of space in the back of the car, it tends to become a tad untidy and a home to various things. 😀 I only want to stock up on some staples, nothing much is needed. It's Twelfth Night so I'll pack up the advent wreath and candles. The wee tree can go to the tip later.I'm sending hugs and good vibes to all our poorlies. Happy Thursday to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. I forgot to put the wheelie out last night so I've just groped my way through the darkness to put it at the bottom of the drive. I couldn't believe how warm it felt outside! Long may it continue it all helps with the fuel bills.
What horrible weather we had for our bus ride yesterday. Torrential rain nearly all day. It was like going through the lake district with the fields all flooded. No market on as we expected so we just dodged from shop to shop before heading for lunch. I got everything on my little list - medicine cupboard re- stocked ready for the next lurgy attack and pet supplies from Yorkshire Trading. DF managed to nab a brand new pair of shoes for £3 from Sense.
Today I must make a start on some cleaning that's been on hold for long enough. What an exciting day in store.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. Thinking of POPPY, RUBY, MEHEFIN, MARIE and NELS and anyone I've forgotten. NAN I hope you have stopped coughing and can enjoy Les Mis and your overnight stay. Take care all be safe xx

Morning all, another night when coughing woke me up silly early again, night times seem to be the worse. I'm hoping I can hold it in tonight, I'm going to wear a mask anyway and we have end of aisle seats near the exit, so I can leave if necessary. I am going to do a bit of shopping this morning, mostly milk and bread but will get some boiled/cough sweets too. DGS is coming to stay with Mr Fix It tonight and I think a takeaway and a film is on the cards. I believe DD will be glad to get away from home though as her kitchen is useable, but not finished and now their boiler has gone bang 😬
I still haven't taken our decorations down yet so they'll have to be done tomorrow when I return. I felt uncomfortable yesterday so jumped on the weighing scales 😱 now my diet must start properly on Saturday as we're having afternoon tea today and a full breakfast tomorrow, so Saturday it will be then !
Hope all the poorlies are recuperating and the cough takes it's leave of the sufferers asap.
Take care all
nan xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
We went to a pub quiz last night and came 3rd out of 14. Highest ever placing for DH and his mates so he should invite DD and I more often lol!
The lamb hotpot was very disappointing - watery - but we ate it anyway. Tonight is bolognaise bake a la @TravellingAbuela. Washing is on - will dry it on the airer in the spare room.
I sent the POAs back yesterday special delivery - now need to tackle Attendance Allowance and see whether DMum can get anything.
Sorry to hear about your friend @ScarletRibbons x
I too was up at 2.30am @IzzyBee - this cough is the gift that keeps on giving... Don't wear yourself out with the extra hours at work!
Good that you were seen quickly @mehefin - not so good about the sudden weight loss. I hope they can give you some answers soon x
Shame the neighbour is already spoken for @Gers - will stop looking at hats and will cancel the coach booking for us O/S'ers to come up to Scotland!
Get well soon vibes to our poorlies - @poppy811, @mehefin, @london_1, @nannywindow and @Nelski and apologies to anyone I've missed out xx
Have a good day all.

Morning All
Milder this morning but still damp and dismal although it's still dark. TA I remembered to put the bin out last night but only just, I'm struggling to know what day it is! Glad you enjoyed your trip out.
I managed a rather slow swim yesterday at the pool, will go back today to thrash the water some more, really must get fit again. The rest of the day was spent doing a big fat nothing!
After a swim I'll take a trip to the 'cheap' shop, a church charity that gets nearly out of date food from local supermarkets, hopefully there will be some fruit and veg that I could do with.
Hoping you're feeling better Nelski, London, Ruby, Nanny, Poppy, Marie and Mehefin, thinking of you.
Good luck at the dentist Scarlet.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -

Hi everyone,
My days have shifted, I'm going to bed later and getting up later - the result of having night owls in the house (tbf Steve's always been a night owl but I just used to leave him downstairs, it's a bit more difficult when there are two other adults and a baby around). Steve went golfing this morning and phoned me at 8.50 to say the plumber was coming at 9.00, cue a mad scramble into clothes. He's here now and likely to be most of the day apparently, it's a repair that hasn't been essential so far and the poor bloke has had to cancel it a couple of times because he has long covid. I can empathise because a number of years ago I had a reaction to some Hep B vaccinations which was very similar, it took me a long time to get over it, I think he was pleased to find someone who understood, he wanted to chat about it for ages.
The cleaner is coming as well for the first time since mid-December, luckily he won't have to turn off the water so it should be ok. The boiler is in the loft so he isn't in the way either.
I think L and B might be coming home today, the rain yesterday has put them off TA. Laura took Esben to soft play in Skipton but I think he still has a lot of energy to burn and if they can't get outside there isn't as much to do up there as there is here.
Healing vibes to Nanny, Nelski, Jackie O, Red Ruby and Mehefin and to anyone else in need of them.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all, bit grey and dull looking today but not raiing yet! Little things eh? I have an appointment with a heart blokey today, the one the time I got wrong before Christmas, so this time I've been checking and rechecking I've got the time right. I also spent some of yesterday booking to go and see some comedians and Prue Leith [since I enjoyed Nigella so much] becuase fun must be had in the carpe diem stakes, so we're going to see four of them over the next few months and Prue in February by myself obviously. We also had a chat about money and more specifically, his lack of the right place to put his savings so we'll see if that comes to fruition. And we're going to his mums for tea tonight as well. I don't think I'll get a lot done today but I will make a start on the decorations and this year, will actually declutter them as they go in the tubs. I have plans to make a wreath now for next Christmas which will also use up some of the baubles and the pine cones. My glue gun awaits! And I just wieghed, put on 4 lb since our birthdays so not too bad.Nanny et al with the coughing, I fear I must join you, I thought it was just that we'd had the fire on and smoke comes out somtimes when we reload it but I realised after reading this morning, I've actually been coughing in night since before Chrsitmas and so has OH. Oops...Izzy,back to a hundred miles an hour I see, don't go wearing yourself out before you go on holiday..Ruby, hope you're recovering well, waggy finger, Jackie, the same to you...Bella, good luck contacting them, sometimes I think they just ignore people on purpose. Coxy, well done Quizmeisters! TA, are we back to normal now with BogBake back on the menu on a Thursday? I swear I'm going to to a round britain trip and stop off for some of that [not to scare you or anything] Gers, enjoy the day out, Scarlet, hope they don't find anything...Cameot, you could just have January off you know...
Take care all, if you're not well, I prescribe the last of the Christmas Baileys and a nice film.
