    I think a good option is certainly a cheaper tracker which will be on a parr with current 5 year fixed rates at major lenders (the best few)...this then gives the option to fix straight away when needed as an existing customer, which is what I intend to do in a year or two when rates have REALLY settled. This then gives me a fix at the best 60% LTV I can get at 5 year fix rates, I then plan on moving or additional borrowing at a higher rate for the rest....

    If labour win the next election which is highly likely in 2 yrs time I think bond markets will take fright and a run on the pound will force bofe from reducing rates so I would fix for 5 yrs in a few months time but not for more than 5%.
