C1 Confirmation. Meaning of 'Residing' in the will.

In the will, I am named as executor and 'residing care of' <property name>.  I own that property ( and my wife lives there) but I am now non-resident under the tax definition.  Can I still remain 'residing care of' or do I have to state in the C1 form that my 'residence' is elsewhere?

It's just whatever your current address is. Your personal tax position isn't relevant.

While you need to use your current address - as part of the declaration on page 2 of C1 you need to provide a link between your current address and your address as shown in the will.

For example: In the said will I am designed as residing at [insert will address].

Thanks for the answer.  Just for my information, what does 'designed' mean in this context?  I cannot seem to find a definition in the forum or on google.

Where 'design' is used in scots law, it normally means 'address'.

To specify somebody's name, address, and sometimes occupation, usually where they are named in a deed (sometimes as a signatory or witness).

"Joseph Bloggs, Solicitor, 21 High Street, Edinburgh" would be a designation.

Not always. Arguably, it could be a 'name, designation and address'.
