Thanks for the info, better understood now....How receptive in general is the OR? I guess it depends on how an individual behaves and is honest with them.

I found them to be professional and very helpful.
I was honest and open no problem at all1 -
I did a working on income on the step change site...i put in the figures for ste pension and their final calculation took this amount and my earnings into account...they then worked out the amount surplus. Reading a government site on the guidlines for the Or it says they can't take state pensions away from you. is this correct or not.thank you.0

It may be worth popping the soa on a post in here, there are people who may be able to assist you with things you may have forgotten to allow for, or where you may find there is a little bit more room for an increase, so that you can get through without having to go back and say that you did not allow sufficient for something like electric, which could make things a little more comfortable for you. I believe the stepchange one is not available to copy and post, but this one is, if you go to the end, format for mse and then follow the instructions https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpbritcan said:I did a working on income on the step change site...i put in the figures for ste pension and their final calculation took this amount and my earnings into account...they then worked out the amount surplus.
