Working after taking NHS pension

I am considering taking my NHS pension a year early (1995 scheme). I will need to continue to work but not necessarily in the NHS. Are there any restrictions on what I can earn?

Yes, but if you retire a year early you get £19,000 the year before your retirement age, as opposed to... literally nothing.

You might as well argue that you can't afford not to have £19,000, and for some people I am sure that will be true!
