Thanks savingholmes. I managed over 7000 steps today and that was despite having a heavy meeting day. I also stayed on course with the healthy eating, had my 5 a day and came in under calories. Not easy when every meeting had a plate of biscuits or cakes on offer. Cutting back on the soy milk has been better for my digestive system, which is a shame as it has great benefits, but I may try and re-introduce it later on again and maybe a different brand."Think of many things, do one"

Average daily steps was 9412 this week and over 30 miles total. Have stuck to my calorie plan so was disappointed to see only 100g down this morning, but I know that weight fluctuates so I'm going to keep plodding on.
Tried a new soya 'drink' for my coffee and its been much better on my digestion, but then realised it only has 7% soya!! Must read the labels more closely next time!!. I'm eating lots of apples and tomatoes but need to swap in some other veg too. Had peas and sweetcorn tonight but I'll try and incorporate some of the frozen green veg. this week."Think of many things, do one"

Anything off is off. I too aim for 10000 steps but don’t achieve it that much but am 3 pound down since I got back on the healthy eating wagon last week.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Well done on the steps and diet changes.
On the soy - bear in mind some people are intolerant and don't feel you should persist for the sake of it...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Well done debtfreeoneday. Yes and an off isn't an add
Thanks savingholmes, I've tried some regular/light soya milk today and that seems okay. I had the one with added protein before and I think that might not agree with me. I swear there used to be a whole shelf of different types of soya milk, now there are just 2 or 3 then a whole load of other types - almond, coconut, oat etc."Think of many things, do one"

Still continuing with the daily goals. Must try the matcha again some time and maybe the pomegranate juice, perhaps once I've upped the exercise.
- 500 calorie deficit every daily x 21 weeks
- Use calorie counting app every day
- Eat only between 8 and 8
- Drink 3 glasses of cold water daily and one before morning coffee
- Oats for breakfast
- Lunch to incorporate beans/pulses or tuna/cottage cheese etc
- Apple/kiwi fruit daily and dark choc to avoid snacking on unhealthier things
- More veg
- Follow exercise plan
- Achieve goals quietly
The only thing I haven't been doing is sticking to the three glasses of water so need to up my game on that one. I'm not going to worry too much about it yet, especially as the scales came down a little. Danger alert this week with a night out. I'm planning zero alcohol drinks and will peruse the menu in advance plus maybe cut the calories during the day. A good girl scout is prepared
Edit Edit - Definitely think my speedy increase in veg. hasn't helped. Just been reading some articles about soluble and insoluble fibre. Should all balance out as I go along though."Think of many things, do one"

Have only had one glass of water again today! Two coffees and two hot chocolates. Its partly because I now have a larger water bottle (metal one) and haven't been carrying it on my walks as its quite big. But I'm going to start taking it in future.
Still feeling very full and managed my 5 a day again today and good calorie counting."Think of many things, do one"

Took my water bottle out on my walks and feel much better for it - made my step goal too. Had well over my five a day and feel like I'm eating very healthily. I had a bit of a low sugar moment when I got back from my afternoon walk, so had some crackers for an extra 100 calories.

I had a sneaky weigh today and I'd lost a bit more weight. Will have a proper weigh Friday but it feels like my body is getting used to the fibre. The aim is to eat well, feel full and very slowly lose weight. I'm not telling anyone in RL about my diet, so its great to be able to write it all down here. I had another energy slump this afternoon, was feeling light-headed, so I might need to spread my food around a bit more and factor some protein in mid-afternoon."Think of many things, do one"
