    Ooof - that is quite a wack of dosh!  Take a deep breath in and remember it will work itself out in the wash.  The ouchiness of it is but temporary.

    Sorry to hear about the increase, that's just rubbish. Imagine the timbers need replacing like ours did? Glad they did manage to start work in this weather though and hopefully all done soon x

    Ouchetty ouch! @foxgloves I know this is cold comfort, but imagine if this was pre LBM. Horrendous.   You'll get through it and be warm and safely housed.  Love Humdinger xx

    Well at least they didn't put the new roof on the dodgy timbers, so they could go bankrupt in a few years & come back as the new entity to fit another new roof.  Me cynical - never.

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £227,385
    - OPs to mortgage = £12,881 Estd. interest saved = £6,203 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 5 books of target 52 in 2026 as @ 13th January 
    Produce tracker: £18 of £400 in 2026
