I can't wear in ear headphones either as they don't stay in my ears even when I'm sitting still. I have some blue tooth over the ear headphones and they're brilliant.
I've also got everything I can think of charging up and a load of washing on. Also air fried a piece of salmon to go in my stir fry later.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
The thing about moving is a really good one. Both my sister & I have been advised by our hospital consultants, for completely different problems, to move regularly me at least hourly & her half hourly. I have a nasty habit of getting my head into some reading material & 3 hours later.... I say reading material as it can be anything that actually has words.4

Just deleted my own post. What a prize narna I am!
Thanks for your comments which I always enjoy reading. A decent day here on the whole - budget-friendly offerings as follows:
*Our fave local indie coffee shop was closed for some reason so we went to a different not-fave one which was cheaper.
*August Week 2 grocery shopping done within budget, making use of 3 money-off vouchers & a free coffee each.
*Crossed black sewing thread off my town list 1st thing as found a spare reel lurking in my mending jar (actually a re-purposed late 1920s glass biscuit barrel which I consider both impossibly & depressingly small for housing something as life-affirming as biscuits!) Anyway, thread successfully shopped from home.
*Garden pickings: Cucumber no.18.
*Baked the sourdough loaf I made yesterday.
*Mr F fed & watered all the veg plus baskets & containers.
*Bought some hairball control cat biscuits for Soot & he yummed some down for his lunch. More expensive than their usual bics but worth it moneywise if future vet visits & poorly miserable cat can be prevented.
*Enjoyed a sewing afternoon. Sewed a practice tier onto original toile prototype to check a)I could do it correctly b)It looked like something I'd wear & c)That I'd made it long enough. Yes to a) & b) but I will need to make the actual dress a bit longer to allow for a nice deep hem to ensure it hangs nicely. So.....then progressed the actual dress by sewing & neatening seams and cutting out the re-calculated size fabric pieces to make the gathered tier. Have written the next stages in my notebook so I can get on with it straight away when I next have sewing time & not have to faff around remembering where I got up to.
Wishing everyone a peaceful evening,
F x

Looking forward to hearing what the witchery does with the blackberries ...

Good idea on the anti-furball treats. I hope they work!

Hello Thursday Savers,
Busy day of kitchen witchery & not a lot else!
*Made 10 jars of blackberry & apple jam.
*Made 6 jars of smoky blackberry ketchup (Recipe is by Thane Prince - online) & have water-bathed them in my cauldron for longer safe pantry life.
*Started off this year's blackberry & pear gin.
*Garden pickings: More blackberries, courgettes.
*Made some herby lemony veggie bulghur to go with tonight's salmon. Used up 3 courgettes in that plus half a red onion that was lurking.
*Made tomorrow's packed lunch & breakfast, which got another container out of the freezer as Mr F said he fancied tomato soup with a cheese bagel thin.
*Managed to wash another pillow. Pegged out until a sharp persistent shower arrived this afternoon.
And with all the chopping & preserving prep, that's it for today. I managed 1 crossword clue over my breakfast & watched a TV episode during my lunch hour, but apart from that I've been in my pinny all day! Just about to do some circuits of the garden to boost today's steps.
Cheers, F x
