Dancing my way through the daily grind

Hi, long time lurker first time writer.

I am self employed and my income fluctuates depending on demand for classes, my husband is fulltime employed and it's just the two of us and our two dogs. 

A bit of background, just under a year and a half ago my husband and I decided on a whim to start taking paying off our credit card debts more seriously. Since then, after a whole lot of ebaying, carbooting, account switching and generally cutting our expenses to the bone we manged to clear just over £15 000 and are now down to the final couple of thousand, the timing of which couldn't be better given the rapidly rising cost of living. Once this credit card debt has been cleared we will then have a loan, used to finance our car purchase, outstanding along with our mortgage. Luckily none of this debt causes us problems in terms of meeting payments but it will be nice to see the back of it and free up cash for finishing the very necessary house renovations. 

I've been ever so grateful for the variety of help I've found on this forum over the years. I'm hoping this diary will help hold me to account and keep me on the straight and narrow as we try to pay off the last of the credit cards in the face of spiralling expenses.
