Does anyone have any experience with Aldermore extending mortgage offers? Do they allow this?

Hi, we had a mortgage offer with Aldermore, valid for 3 months. It expired at the end of August, and they would not extend this, and we had to reapply as if from scratch. So frustrating. We're now in the unenviable position of making yet another appliction (same house- there is a land registry / boundary/ first registration issue that remains as yet unresolved). To make matters worse, not only have interest rates risen since our initial application with Aldermore, their survey person has decided that there is now a potential structural issue that needs to be addressed before they'll make this latest offer. When we asked why this wasn't raised the first time, they said it was because the issue had been hidden by a floor covering! We know this wasn't the case, as the house is empty and stripped out.
Anyway, yes, our experience is that they don't extend offers. If we could move to another lender, we would, but we can't.
Have you had an update yet? I'd be interested to know about your experience. Thank you.0 -
