Spent last night shivering under a ropey old duvet from my student days and vowed to buy something proper.
Is this a good deal for goose feather and down duvets http://www.guardianoffers.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/GuardianOffers/_TIMWBE056/119252/All%20Seasons%20Duvets and pillows http://www.guardianoffers.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/GuardianOffers/_TIMWBE32/119249/Goose%20feather%20%26amp%3Bamp%3B%20down%20pillows ?
Anyone know of similar quality bedding for a better price? Thanks

Thats a double duvet from Amazon. You didnt say what size you wanted. No pillows with it.
Does you link come up for just the pillows ?0 -
The one in The Guardian is an all seasons duvet, which is a better choice than the one on Amazon & usually more expensive.
I would say check the price of the all seasons ones on Ebay first, to compare, as you can pick up some good deals there from retailers. It's where I bought mine from a couple of years ago & the quality is excellent. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
i would say look for a qs or store 21. they recently had a buy 2 get 2 free deal. duvets and clothes (everything) was included. not sure if still on as havent been this week but duvets are @£8 for double. heard good things about quality.A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j0

I would have a look at John Lewis
see what theirs are like and see
how they compare.
also try the white company, you can buy
online with free postage,at the moment they
are doing 10% off everything. They are also in
Selfridges stores so you could always go and
look at them in there.Just bought a couple of
cushions from them and the quality is lovely
I am not a fan of buying this type of thing
sight unseen especially as its so expensive.
I would want to know what the pillows
are covered in I know its cotton but how
close is the weave ? 100,200,300 count ?
is it flocking ?
it matters because if its not a close enough
weave you may get little feathers popping
out which is a pain.we have a couple of the
down pillows ones years old and the other
about three years old we wash these a couple
of times a year, let them dry on the washing line
and then give them a light tumble dry.A good one
will last years.:j:j:j0 -
forgot to add if you are with pigsback
and go onto the White Company site
via them you get 15 piggy points for
every £ spent:j:j:j0 -
Aldi have a double duck feather and down duvet for £19.99Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0
