Midlife MOT.....

Just catching up on news and have seen a few articles about the "Midlife MOT" - namely Rishi Sunak's plan to encourage thousands of over-50s back to work with a “midlife MOT” in a bid to boost the economy.
"The ONS survey found 24 per cent gave up work planning to retire after Covid struck,
ranking above redundancy, stress and the pandemic itself as reasons
they stopped.
A new personal MOT would allow workers to assess their financial health.
It is believed that many over-50s decided to
take early retirement based on assumptions made before the recent cost
of living crisis."
As a proud member of the economically inactive club, I can't help feeling that the survey fails to link redundancy and stress as one of the reasons that retirement became the solution!
So, what would Rishi have to do to encourage you back to the world of work?
"For every complicated problem, there is always a simple, wrong answer"
