Donate £2 to a Yorkshire Food Bank by spending 99p
The publishers of a comedy history book are able to donate £2 from their royalties while is is reduced on Amazon to just 99p - this is because Amazon has reduced the price, not the publisher, so they still get full royalties. It's a printed book, not an e-book, has good reviews and normally retails for £9.99.
Forgotten Yorkshire is a quirky spoof of local history books - something like 1066 And All That which older people might remember.
The book has already raised £10k for a Deptford food bank and £1k for a Glasgow food pantry and is now focusing on two food banks in Yorkshire.
You are allowed to purchase up to 3 per week, but the offer is likely to end just before Christmas, so act fast. To donate more, ask friends to follow your example.
