Victim of Possible Scam Company Using My Private Address.

Received letter from Companies house to someone I don't know so checked name out and someone has set up a business using my H/A rented private residential address. I immediately rang Companies house and they advised me to complete 2 forms (RP07 and RP02A) which I'm having great difficulty in uploading. Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
I also contacted Clear Score to ask their advice and contacted Action Fraud but the rest of the advice I've been given is based on identity fraud which I don't think is the issue in this case. I've contacted my bank to let them know that no business is legitimately registered here and contacted all correspondents who have sent letters to this person letting them know this is probably a fraudulent company. Any advice would be massively appreciated.

I don't see anything for you to be worried about. Nobody is trying to steal your identity, and it's got nothing to do with your own credit record.

We don't know what you're doing wrong re. uploading - can you clarify what your difficulties are?

Report it to companies house and send the letter back to them saying the property is not a commercial building.

Or rather, just that it isn't the correct address for the company (many registered offices are legitimately at residential addresses!).

Turns out I had to provide a pdf file of my details, photos are not acceptable. As I don't know how or if photos can be converted to pdf files, I've sent the 2 forms and hope someone actually reads the details.

You find an app which allows you to print to a pdf.

Sorry, but I'm not that tech savvy and would have no idea where to begin.

What format are your photos in?

If you e.g. google "Adobe convert jpg to pdf" there is a free online tool that will do this if your photo files are in .jpg format

Do you mean you've downloaded RP07 and RP02A, printed them, filled them in, photographed them - and now you're trying to convert the photos to PDF and/or upload them?

If so - there's probably a much simpler route. You can probably fill-in the forms online - then download the filled-in forms as PDF files.

Follow these links and fill the forms in online:

The next step depends on what browser you're using....

If it's Google Chrome - click on the 'download arrow' (top right), and select "with changes" - and you'll download a PDF copy of the form with your details in it.

If it's Microsoft Edge - click on the 'Save as' icon (top right) - and you'll save a PDF copy of the form with your changes in it.

The the PDF files will be ready to upload.
