i have just opened the Aldi Emporium Christmas Cheese Selection (Mature Cheddar Cheese Mini French Brie Long Clawson Blue Stilton Red Leicester Wensleydale)

The Blue Stilton is missing.  I do not like the idea of everyone helping themselves before i collect/buy my shopping especially with Covid. Just heads up really for you all to check your selection cheese boxes before buying

I dont begrudge some one a bit of cheese at xmas
Just wished they had not riffled through my box and just taken a standalone slab of stilton off shelf
I dont really understand why they take from selection box As its still stealing surely
I have also had this with washing tablets where i internal packet was opened and one tablet missing
Strangely I feel better now I have ranted Its all very strange

Email Aldi CS with the batch no on the box, and they should be able to narrow down the list of suspects within the supply chain. Or they might just offer you a replacement.

It's possible it was a mistake and not someone genuinely hankering after smelly blue cheese.

I agree with @Rosa_Damascena that you should email Aldi Customer Service.  They should at least replace the missing cheese but more likely replace the whole box.

Do you think the box was opened in the store or the cheese was "lost" during packaging?

If it was instore I suspect that someone knows that a single cheese out of one of these packs is easier to get past security than one with a full label on it.  If during packaging then more likely it was just an error/oversight rather than theft.

I had always hated any blue cheese until I moved to the UK.  And then I discovered the unami delight that is a good sharp blue with a sweet biscuit like a digestive.  Now the only cheeses I steer clear of are those really hard brick ones from Sweden or the full on stinky feet limburger types.  All others are welcome as long as they've got the correct companion!
