Octopus Export : Fixed Rate vs Agile?

I'm with Octopus as my energy supplier, and they appear to have this. I'm not sure what's best RE: exporting back to Octopus when selling excess solar.
It appears they pay 15p/KwH as a fixed rate for export which is better than the SEG

In the last year agile export has been best. It's likely to stay that way for a while.8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.2

I'm happy with 15p/kWh fixed. Saves having to think or plan.4.7kWp (12 * Hyundai S395VG) facing more or less S + 3.6kW Growatt inverter + 6.5kWh Growatt battery. SE London/Kent. Fitted 03/22 £1,025/kW + battery £24951

You can switch between them every 30 days, all it takes is a phone call (did it a couple of weeks ago)Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25

Agile looks to have been rather good during the cold spell, up until Dec it was struggling to match fixed except for a couple of hours most days.
Is there a risk that the fixed SEG tariff could be replaced by a lower rate while you're switched across to agile? A low risk I should imagine, but their rate's significanly better than anyone else's and there's nothing to stop them reducing it.4.7kWp (12 * Hyundai S395VG) facing more or less S + 3.6kW Growatt inverter + 6.5kWh Growatt battery. Do you have a storage battery with your PV system? How much are you prepared to work it? I have Economy 7 with Octopus. Current off-peak rate is around 15p(going up in Jan to 16p). If you charge your battery at the offpeak rate in the winter, and then watch the Octopus Agile export rates for the day (and your battery is capable of a "timed" export) you can choose to export when the rate is the most favourable . In the south this is usually between 4.30 - 5.30pm. I'm hoping to cover most of my import costs by a short export at the best time. Only really works if you can survive to the next off peak charging period on the juice left in the battery after conducting the export!.
You may find this useful in making your choice - it is a web site that shows all the historical data every half hour for Octopus Agile incoming and outgoing
