I cannot find any information about the "Taperfit hydraulic monopole" except as a passing reference in some of the SD literature. Does "hyraulic" mean it collapses if it were to spring a leak?Reed0

It just means that it is lifted using hydraulic fluid. Once the mast and turbine are vertical they are locked into place with a pin.The comments I post are my personal opinion.
