Contracting out deduction

I contracted out whilst on a Government scheme. Now I am in receipt of a state pension from 04/22.
My pension is reduced to £167pw.
My pension is reduced to £167pw.
I have 42 years of NI contributions.
On a Gov site I noted that the contracting out deduction is 3%, however my deduction is more that this.
I have asked DWP to show me the reason for my deduction with no response.
Is there a fixed contracting out deduction percentage?
How can I get to see the calculations for my deduction?

More important than trying to work it out is have you got any gaps in your NI record post 2016 ?How many post 2016 NI years do you have ?A finger in the air measurement seems to be averaging somewhere in the region of £3 COPE per year of contracting out (but it is more complicated than that) deducted from your 2016 starting amount. But you cannot directly see your COPE from your current pension amount, a large or small COPE could give the same current pension. Knowing your exact current pension amount and how many post 2016 NI years you have in that total 42 would give an indication of the minimum COPE you had.

You won't get a personalised answer from DWP. See https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/state-pension-fact-sheets/contracting-out-and-why-we-may-have-included-a-contracted-out-pension-equivalent-cope-amount-when-you-used-the-online-service as well as the link suggested in the previous post.ColMerlot said:I contracted out whilst on a Government scheme. This might be an easier read: https://www.which.co.uk/money/pensions-and-retirement/state-pension/what-was-contracting-out-ascMg4t2I7HkGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0
