Delayed taking state pension

After some advice please. If you delay taking your state pension and then apply for it many years later, do you just get the regular state pension amount or a slightly boosted amount?
Also any idea how long it takes to process once an application has been made?
Many thanks

If you just got the same amount why would anyone ever defer it?

Depends when you reached State Pension Age/for how long you defer. The link above gives full details.Scarlets_mum said:After some advice please.
