Payday loans
Hello all. I’m wondering if you would be able to advise me.
I fell out of work for 5 months in 2017 and took out payday loans to pay my credit cards debts so they wouldn’t go against me.
By the time I got back into work my debt doubled.
I just want to know would I be entitled to a refund from the creditors?
The creditors didn’t check my employment status nor did they check if the loans were affordable.
A few of the companies - wonga, piggy bank, unclebuck, avant have all folded over the last few years and are all in DMP.

You can complain if there is still a company and the refund scheme is open but it's probably a bit late
The Debt Camel site has a lot of useful info but it looks like:
Wonga, Uncle Buck - probably not as the deadline has past
Piggy Bank loans - seems to be ongoing with administrators but I doubt it'll be soon as it looks like 3 years since they went under and someone in the comments said it was still ongoing
Avant you might be able to
Do not use third parties for this

That was to be expected. Payday loans are by their very nature expensive.By the time I got back into work my debt doubled.
Any complaint, where the window is still open for you to do so, will depend largely on what information you provided when you applied for the loans.I just want to know would I be entitled to a refund from the creditors?
