Clerical Medical Section 32 - transfer exercise - two year saga

I started a request to transfer this pension to a personal pension In January 2021. I did this through a Financial Services Company. I escalated in September 2021 and received apologies from a senior manager who pointed out that CM had been dreadful but the work of the Financial Advisor hadn’t been acceptable and they would waive all charges involved. Clerical Medical were put under more pressure but here we are fast approaching the two year mark and I’m about to get the transfer recommendations.
My question is how do I complain about the appalling service I have received as I am one step removed from CM on this matter? And I believe CM have been the main offender.

Start the complaints procedure - or two complaints procedures, one against your adviser and one against Clerical Medical. Look on their respective websites.spakkaman said:I started a request to transfer this pension to a personal pension In January 2021. I did this through a Financial Services Company. Ask CM and your IFA for their complaints process.Mortgage free

It sounds like the adviser company has already acted on a complaint by refunding their charges.
I used to love CM as a company decades ago. Moving their admin to SW (who also used to be good) may have been a sensible commercial decision but SW servicing hasn't been good for a very long time. It is a shame that once strong brands with good servicing end up this way.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
