I reached out to ECU testing this afternoon but I didn't have the part number to hand. I'm going to get that and then give them another call in the New Year. I'll sit tight and pay both for a month and then take another look. I don't want this to unsettle us even more over the xmas period. Nothing can be done right now and I have the Audi to get around in. I've spent a fortune this month on taxing and insuring both cars and then undoing all the tax and insurance on both cars, Vicious circle to stay legalMikeJXE said:There are many companies that test and repair Jaguar ECU0

Why are you leaving the problem until the new year? Isn't it best to get it all sorted now? Especially as used car prices seem to be coming down at the moment?Rajix said:

If you need quotes to repair the car have a look at 'whocanfixmycar.com'. Used them multiple times and was easy to get quotes from local garages.0

I'd be getting some dealer quotes to sell the S4 and also try advertising it privately. Car market is definitely turning down though. Handing it back would only be an option if you can't get as much as the finance balance on it. With the new car, you either get it fixed or look to sell it on - either way you will be taking a bath on it. If you like it get it fixed - a lot of garages now off interest free instalments or an interest free credit card might be an option too. If the savings in fuel balance out the cost of repairs over a year, you would ultimately be no worse off.0
