Last minute checks before mortgage completes?

We’ve had our offer a while and are waiting for the end of our current fixed term to complete on the mortgage. Just wondering what kind of things the lender will do just before completion given there will have been a few months since the original offer. Nothing has changed in our circumstances but just wondered what might happen and how confident we might be able to be about all going smoothly! Lender is HSBC if that makes a difference to any answers.
Thank you

Everything from nothing to requesting new documents. Highly highly unlikely anything will happen and if you’ve nothing to hide then who cares anyway.0
