Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM quiche, jacket potato, cheese, beans, ham, pork pie (menfolk) and a side of salad. Tonight will be Indian.
All the normal chores to do today.
At work staff dropping like flies.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Cold and frosty again, seems like it will be the same for a few days yet, washing will have to stay indoors, can't see it drying much today.
Good to hear from you Poppy, stay strong.
Sorry you're not getting any better Mehefin.
Hope Laura gets sorted soon snoozer.
Glad you have your chair at last Gers.
Happy to hear M&S are resolving the issue Coxy, hope it's a decent voucher!
I'm coming to yours Ruby, your days sound lovely.
I've been up for hours, done some sewing and tidied the kitchen a bit, will tackle the rest when I get home later, feel like I'm chasing my tail at the moment.
Optician was good, great service and a lovely chatty young chap. No new reading glasses needed but I have ordered some driving glasses with a coating on that should help with the glare at night - hope so as they cost a fortune!
Have a happy Friday, take care. XX11 -
Morning folks. Thanks for starting us off nmlc.Another very cold day ahead, the fields are very frosty. It's only 0° outside with a promise of 3°. I'm still in bed giving myself a blast of heat from the electric blanket before facing the day.Yesterday I only ventured out to take a rubbish bag to the tip in the late morning once the sun had come out. I had a couple of deliveries including a new corded phone to replace the non-functioning one upstairs. Its only for use if there's a prolonged power cut and my mobile runs out of juice. I have a couple of power banks for the mobile too but like a belt and braces approach.Today I've got a hair appointment. Normally it's an hour and half drive right down the peninsula with a big portion on a single track road. It's a beautiful journey but today I'll probably go down the main road, it'll take longer though will be more used and gritted. The way home will be easier as the cold sun will be out. Thanks for the daily ditty Taff. 🎶I hope that everyone is safe and warm. Happy frosty Friday to all.10

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's getting colder by the day it's -3 this morning and there is a thick covering of something white out there. I can't decide if it's a covering of snow or a very thick frost. Whatever it is it's not tempting me to go out in it!
I have the excitement of the usual Friday Tidy today. Kitchen and bathroom got done yesterday so today is dust and vacc up and down day. Later I will drag out all the boxes of decs ready for such trimming up as I will be doing tomorrow. I won't be going to extremes.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. POPPY nice to hear from you but sorry your news isn't good. You are in my thoughts as always. Take care all and be safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning, it's a very cold one here. There was a light fall of snow last night, which turned to slush and is now frozen so the pavements will be lethal. I won't go out, I don't want any falls. We visited our friend yesterday afternoon and it was snowing when we left at 5pm. She lives more rurally then we do though, higher up.Izzy, are you ok up there in Weardale?Sorry to hear your news Poppy, thinking of you.Mehefin sorry to read that you aren't doing too well, hope you pick up a bit soon.Thoughts to Laura, Snoozer, hope she'll be ok.Nels, hope you've been able to order a new WM.Glad M&S seem to have come to their senses at last Coxy.Dp1, what a pity your Dd and the little one had their holiday spoiled, pleased it wasn't appendicitis though.Sorry if I've missed anyone.Take care today folks, and stay warm if you can.12

Morning
Up early today as my nose was freezing! Wonder if you can get nose warmers. Just googled and yes you can.....strange looking things but who cares!
Cleaner coming this morning which will be nice. She will change my bedding so tonight will be fresh and clean again.
Managed to book a plumber for Tuesday so fingers crossed I will be able to get the washing done again. camelot there would be no chance of getting anything dry here outside....I went to the bin earlier and the lid was frozen solid.
Have calls to do later but not a lot else planned.
Keep toasty everyone noses included x

Hi everyone,
I'm up holding a fussy baby with the white noise on Alexa. It send Esther to sleep but is too much like the tinnitus I get for my liking. It's very laborious typing with one hand so this might not be a long post,
Esben has writtem to FC but not quite got the concept. He asked for a toy. Apparently at nursery they were talking about emotions and Esben said he was happy because he was a big brother and loved his baby sister.
Mehefin, Ihope you feel better soon.
Well done Coxy.
Enjoy your chair and your haircut Gers.11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
WFH today thank goodness but poor DH has to go to London. We live on a hill and it's a bit dodgy in places if you don't take care. Dinner tonight is pork chops and veg. We are going to see Die Hard at the cinema after - don't think I've ever sat through the whole film!
I have washing on the go and will put it in the spare room shortly. Some ironing to do but will save it for tomorrow when this load is dry. Tomorrow is all about self-care - FC, haircut and a waxing appointment. We are taking part in a 13km charity walk on Sunday, so will need to dig out walking boots and decent socks for us all as the (adult) children are coming too.
Dreadful about AO @Nelski - I hope you can get someone out to help you.
Hope everyone is managing to stay warm and safe. Several 'warm spaces' popping up here including the local church and the library. Take care all.

Morning all Brr its chilly DS says it is -2 at the moment , DH is working from home as he has a blood test and I have an appointment with a local jeweller i am taking mums last few remaining pieces to either be repaired or repurposed into something i would wear a few bits have stones missing as they were my great grandparents .Other bits neither my mum nor i know whose they were i seem to have a lot of like victorian pin broaches long and thin and am not sure what or if they are precious metal/stone but its not something i would or my mum ever used so i may have them thrown into the pot for repurposing.
DD ,DGS and the dog are coming later she has a brunch in London and then her DH will be joining her as they have a charity boxing match where a friend of his is boxing so busy couple of days but it will be nice to have Matthew.

Cp; and frosty here. Mrs M bless her went see to the girls,
Well the entertainment with the medical profession continues apace yesterday. Had an app with a practice nurse who went through all the usual motions, lungs clear BP fine. they dont ssem to grasp that my problem currently is a massive buildup of mucus/phlegm which keeps us awake all night as I battle to clear it. This one suggested I have a hot toddy at bedtime.. it will relax you!!
Wont shift the problem though.
Got an asthma review later ( not that I have asthma) Starting to loose the will to live lol
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin

Morning everyone
Thick frost here - wish I could hibernate and not go to work today!
DD and little one had a great day yesterday - they went to a panto, the funfair, beach and a Santa show - lots of photos of a very happy little girl! She's still not eating enough but other than that seems ok.
Gers - pleased you got your chair and Coxy pleased yours seems to be sorted too. Hope they send you a decent gift as compensation.
Snoozer - aahh to Esben pleased he's enjoying being a big brother
Well short and sweet but I've just noticed the time - need to get a move on.
Hope everyone has a good day - take care x9
