You can get the effect of deep frying without all the oil by spraying the food lightly with oil. The food will need to be turned regularly during cooking.
The Daewoo site says it's 36cm x 36cm, and I can't see anything that says you need a minimum of anything more than that when using it. I'd say it's a case of being sensible, and not having it too close to anything that could be damaged by heat.

So, my ‘no spend January’ has failed by day 2 🤦🏻♀️ But I’ll chalk this up to ‘circumstances beyond my control’ and start again tomorrow.2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs (offset): 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07,

I think you'll find it fine for just one or two - I use ours for 2 of us. Having said that I tend to use a Remoska more than the halogen although that's not as good for pastry except reheating.
My halogen the lid can't be removed but it hinged so can be lifted up out of the way so that you can check how food is cooking but, as with an oven, it will cool down a bit and need to reheat. There is a light inside which comes on and off and can be a bit annoying if you are somewhere where it can be seen, ie if you're in the kitchen while you're using it but other than that it's fine.
I certainly think it would be worth it for you if you can't get an oven at the moment.I haven’t got a lot of spare worktop space and all my worktops have wall cupboards above. I can’t see any mention of this anywhere…

Well I have landed here again in 2023.
Work has begun to grind me down and I need to re-evaluate our spending more. We have a bathroom to re do as is original. Also have the funds for an extension and permissions have all been completed. Now I'm having doubts about it not told DH that yet though! trying to figure out a (cheaper) more cost effective way of re doing the works needed.
Just given the meter readings for December and the electric bill is a massive shock. Its only a small 2 bed bungalow and we cook with gas with extra payments and the support payment we still had a £96 electric bill, some work to be investigated here to see what has happened. We have already discussed the purchase of the multiple plug extension leads where items can be switched off individually to reduce drain.
I am also intending to have a week of no spends each month towards payday and to check on the monthly budgets if they are on target
Good luck on your 2023 journey peeps

May I join in for 2023? I loved reading the 2022 edition. I've just taken over an allotment and am raring to get cracking on it properly after it stops raining! I've already planted 5 fruit trees and I have a little gooseberry bush that is dying to get out the door and join them. It'll be interesting to see what I can save and grow. Some lovely people at the allotments - so friendly and full of good advice. It's a joy to be there (when it's not raining!)

What a glorious sunny day here for me. Good start. Used the airing cupboard to dry two loads of washing, lunch of leftover Xmas cheese, kids had a play date with city friends at ours (ie they just roam around the farm for four hours going feral in the mud!), made muffins out of old bananas so that's a good few after ssxhool snacks sorted.Had half an hour in the sunshine weeding our awfully overgrown veg patch. I'm hoping if I spend half an hour in it a few days a week by March it might be passable. Planted some aubergine seeds today. Grew them for the first time last year and got at least 10 aubergine chilli meals from them. (10 meals for 4!). Hoping for similar this year.14

Borrowed a book from a friend so that'll be free entertainment for a bit. Also went walking with another friend today - free and healthy. Got a pack of 3 exercise resistance bands for 10p, mushrooms and spring onions for free off olio, and for 60p I got some yellow sticker goodies of bread, Brownies and a pack of mini malt loaves. First load of washing went on the line today as it was dry but its only been 2-4c and not windy so it didn't dry. Have really been feeling the cold since having covid so throughout December I had the heating on more than usual meaning I'll have to actually pay the gas and electricity bill this month, the government payment won't fully cover it this time which is a shame. Sitting with a hot water bottle, big jumper, cup of tea and a blanket at the moment and I'm still cold. My taste hasn't fully come back yet either and I usually love coffee but have gone off it a bit so think I will take advantage of that and switch to drinking more tea made from home grown and dried herbs.
I would love a complete lifestyle overhaul - log cabin in the woods, sustainability and living off grid style, not sure if that's actually realistic for me but I can keep saving for it for if I'm ever ready to take the plunge.19
