in Cutting tax
Hi All . I will be moving in with my girlfriend soon who owns her flat, we both work and I will be giving her money each month for household bills eg food ,heating water, council tax etc. She is worried that the money I give her will count as income and will be taxed on this, could anyone give me some information on this .
Many thanks Rog

It isn't income. It is a contribution to costs. You don't employ her, so there is no basis on which it can be taxed.0
