Hoping someone can help, I am looking for the "Well Loved Tales" collection from Ladybird. I have searched online but can only find a few books here and there, is there a boxset of the entire collection available, originals if possible.

If you have some already, then I'd look at etsy / ebay for the others individually. Won't be a box set though.

If it's etsy (or ebay) then it may be sellers with a few books to sell, perhaps following a house clearance or making extra money with a clear out.

The £345 set you rejected as to expensive, might have been collected by someone buying the books off ebay/etsy etc and then putting them together as a listing and putting the price up on the basis of it being a set.

Put a 'wanted' post on your local Freecycle group, in case that turns up trumps. I doubt anyone will have a full set but you never know...

10-15 years ago these were really popular collectors items, and I guess they still are. See oxfam had an individual book for £9. 
We have quite a sizeable selection from mine and my Husband's childhood but won't be selling them anytime soon.

You may find some in charity shops, but they will be competitively priced
