Hi what are your thoughts on the ordinary. I have tried Liz Earle in the past and I have got a stash but I haven't used it in a while and I think it's expensive for the whole kit to get decent skin.
I've heard the ordinary is good as they use the stuff you need without mixing other stuff in and you can tailor your skin care to what you actually need.
I've been losing weight and found my skin to bumpy and dry around the cheek under the eye area..I've always had some dry skin on forehead and I do have very red cheeks. I think my skin being really dry is due to losing fat through calorie counting so it's not as supple. Also the winter being here too.
What are yout thoughts I am planning to get the starter kit with the hyralauric acid but head the marine one is better.
Thank you

If you know what products you need then The Ordinary is great, but otherwise it can seem like you need to buy lots and lots of separate products to get the ingredients you want. I've used a few of their products like the Niacinamide serum, hyalauronic acid and a few of the oils which were fine, but I've found that my skin prefers to have those things mixed together in one or two products rather than having to work out how to layer multiple different bottles of things.
Sounds like you need some moisture in your skin so yes, hyalauronic acid is a good product to use but you have to make sure you use it on damp skin (I like to use a face spray beforehand) otherwise it will dry your skin out even more. I'd also recommend looking at some of Caroline Hiron's content (she has a book and lots of stuff on her website and social media pages) as she's a bit of skin guru and can advise what type of products might be suited for your skin. She recommends a mix of high and low price products so you should be able to find something that works for you. Late to the party - was browsing through the section with time on my hands and came across this thread !
I love this brand and use 3 of their items all the time.
Granactive Retinoid 5% (daily) followed by Natural Moisturising Factors + HA (daily)
Vitamin C Suspension 30% (once a week)1 -
They have their own website that as well as ordering from explains what everything does and what might suit you, from memory I think you can do a quiz which then recommends products for you to use.
I like their products, simple and no fuss and stop me buying lots of new "stuff". My favourite product is the niacinamide powder"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

Bit late sorry but I wanted to add that I really like The Ordinary, especially the fact it's not too expensive.
