maybe the cheapest dvd rental company but definately would not recommend it . Really slow at despatching dvds and if you want new releases then you will have a long wait  i thort lovefilm were bad but not as bad as this . i would recommend blockbuster to be honest0

Personally I love them. I have heard bad things about Blockbuster and many of the other online rental companies.
I guess it is horses for courses this is why companies like this offer a free trial (and all us moneysavers get an extended 30 day trial plus further discounted prices.)

I have cancelled my subscription with Lovefilms and Blockbuster over some issues with the lack of efficiency to send some new DVD's.
The situation has become worse with the recent Royal Mail strike, Blockbusters are happy to collect the money from my account perfectly on time but never bothered to reply to 3 complaints when I asked to offset the direct debit for as much as many days that the strike went on.
I was interested to use the 30 days link above but it seems that it's not valid any more. I understand it was something arranged internally between MSE and Cinema Paradiso and I wonder if they had too many people subscribing under the scheme and decided to stop it on a financial basis ?0 -
Sorry for the flood but I was hoping to have a reply regarding the issue with the code which is not working anymore.
I understand that Cinema Paradiso prefers to make a lesser deal but if they have previously agreed this has a bad impact on my decision to start a subscribstion.
Any idea who has arranged the deal ?0 -
I had just posted a thread about Cinema Paradiso (before seeing all these CP-related topics, unfortunately) and would urge anyone thinking about joining them to quickly read what CP have just done to me first. As a new poster I can't link to the forum but if you search for it my thread is called "Cinema Paradiso - £80 THEFT" - largely because they've just arbitrarily taken £80 from my account.0

My experience with Cinema Paradiso is all good - have been with them for almost a year.

On the whole my experience with them has been extremely positive. Their turn around time is much better than love film. I love that you can roll your rentals over month by month because I have a tendency to watch films in batches.
My main gripe was that at one point, when I had DVD and BLU-RAYs in my list, the DVDs always came first no matter how low down the priority list. This was some time ago though, these days my list is blocked out with BLU-RAYs and the film that comes is nearly always one in the top two or three of my priority list.
No online streaming though, hopefully something they're working on.0
