Organised Comping - Advent/Dailies

Hey! Tomorrow is the day when most advents start.
It may be a little daunting for some and not all of us have the same amount of time as each other, so it is best to stay organised.
I wouldn't normally track those that I have entered, as I enter and forget, otherwise it would get depressing 😆 but it is good to track what to enter daily.
I thought I'd share a few ideas of how you can stay up to date, without getting bombarded over the advent period.
It might be simple for some people, but the information is here if it is needed. Feel free to add your own ideas if you think it might helpful to others.

Yes you can go through the board daily, but it gets pretty full and if you do get the odd comment that bumps posts for no need, then it can get all muddled.
I do tick off the ones I am entering with the green tick and I also Comp-liment the posts I have entered.

And then I bookmark those that I need to enter daily for a limited time, in order of which ends first.

This made most sense to me for the advents, because they don't all open the next day at the same time and same day, some are weekly but the same as the other weekly comps, so the 'Next' column could come in useful.
I still need to work out which link is best though, the MSE ones or direct. MSE if there is a question definitely, so I can double check my answer is the same 😊

I set up a folder in my chrome bookmarks for the Advents. Actually I set up two, one for competitions I enter daily directly and ones for those I enter via MSE, usually those with questions.

I have been adding to bookmarks folders on my browser toolbar WEB A-H, I-P, Q-Z then similar for Facebook, Instagram and twitter. I also have folders for Gleam, multi social media, close early and weekly. Dailies are in another folder and mag dailies are in sub folders by magazine in a mag dailies folder.

I have dragged and dropped the links into the folders ready green ticking them except for the ones I won't be doing. I will open the links up folder by folder and any I change my mind about I will red x them and remove from the folder. This has worked for me in the past so fingers crossed for this year.

I always bookmark the mse links then click the links through there. It also means if the next days hasn't been posted I can add it to the thread if I spot it. If any haven't been posted on the comp website I bookmark the mse thread which sends me an email if someone comments on the thread if not I should be able to check through my bookmarks on mse but that's if I remember.

I do the same with the mag dailies. The ones I post I add to a folder either ticked or crossed so I know I have posted them especially as there are quite a few I wouldn't enter.

Thanks loads. This is such a useful thread. I have hardly ever done the Advents as I couldn't work out a good system. I may well have a try now, even if a day too late

This is my first year back after missing the advents for 2 years. Good luck with them hope you manage to get some sort of system in place. xx

I realised a few days in that the 'Last entered' column became useless as it would take too long.
So now I choose a colour for the day, yesterday was green and today is maroon, so I can easily see if I've check today or not 😁

So far advent wise, I've won from a fairly local Facebook page, M&S Sparks app and Petplan, only small wins but all fantastic 😁

I got the M&S chocolate footballs on the first day. Went to get them today and realised I could get Percy Pig sweets instead so got those  Only other thing I have had is an Instagram ban which I guess is a win in a way as it has freed up so much time to do other things
