Interest on reclaimed council tax?

my C tax was paid out of a savings account so when I got married, I forgot about it. Recently I’ve been in touch with them and they have refunded most of it and I’m proving why they owe the rest, it’s a considerable amount of money so can I claim interest over the 10 years?

There is no reference to paying interest on refunds in CT legislation, so councils won't pay interest.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
