Hi budding poets out there - I’m looking for an amusing poem (or just the right wording) to say no gifts at my 60th birthday - I don’t want or need drink/jewellery/chocolates/photo frames  etc - instead I would like cash donations to split between several charities very close to my heart - a donation box for cards & money will be provided.   Please all you wonderful wordsmiths out there help me word this nicely - thanks in advance

Sorry it comes in giant script and I don't want to play with that... in case it gets deleted!!

It's time to celebrate my birthday.

This year's a special time.

I've reached the age of sixty -

I'm feeling in my prime!

Someone asked me what gift I wanted

And I had a bright idea:

Instead of lots of presents

I'd like to spread a little cheer

To everyone who needs some help,

A boost along the way.

To make some people happy

Would really make my day.

So please don't buy me smellies

Or a lovely red carnation.

Instead, please give my charities

A generous donation.

She kept our spirits up during Covid writing all kinds of funny poems
