Bought something on Black Friday but is now cheaper in Cyber Monday

Hi,
I bought some electric underfloor heating on 19th Nov when they were promoting around a 20% black Friday sale.
Now for cyber Monday they have a 50% sale!
For me that's around a £150 difference!
I laid the flooring on Saturday unfortunately.
Is there anything that can make the company sort of 'price match'?

If they had increased the price would you have been happy to pay more?
If you ordered it online then in theory you could return it for a refund and rebuy at the lower price, if you ordered it in store then you have not statutory right of return.
Presumably you are no longer in a position to return it but there is no harm having a conversation with them... they wont know that you've laid it and so you could remind them you could send this one back but itd be less hassle for all if they just price matched.
What some may do if they were unreasonable would be to buy the cheaper one, put a return in for the first order but actually return the second set as the first order (assuming its identical). Most would get away with it but if they track serial numbers or such then you just get the cheaper one refunded again and potential lose on the return postage.3 -

I assume that not all products are 50%?
For example H&M were offering 20% off everything all weekend for Black Friday, but now some items are up to 70% off in the sale, other items are back to full price.

Hi OP
Give them a call and be nice and polite - speak to customer services and say you feel a bit miffed. IMHO, it will work.
Let me know how you get on.
Good luck1 -
Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
I did call them same day and asked them but they said there was nothing they can do and couldn't take the matter further.
I had told them I has already laid out it out.
The 50% was pretty much site wide and included the products I bought.
It was obvious they would know about there price discounts beforehand so a kick in the teeth really.
I'll mention it when I review them and take a star off for it.

The company is called "fastwarm"Seems extremely unfair to name and shame, drop a star and mention it in your review.Sadly this is how genuine companies lose business and suffer unjustifiablyI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
