Not a single win here 😢

agree that IG message notifications are a pain as I use PC too.  Although it is weird how some notifications still come the 'normal' way and some via message.  I've managed to silence the audible message notification on the phone, but as that only lasts 12 hours I'm having to do that twice a day.  Luckily I've not had a ban this year, so one positive.

So many of the comps use social media now and again this year the prizes are of lower value as they still get lots of entries for the little prizes as well as the larger ones.  Saying that, even some of the higher value prizes I've not been interested in - i haven't yet entered any of the Currys advents.

Fihgers crossed for some wins - there is still time and some aren't even drawn till January

A couple of little wins - Towels £35, Amazon voucher £5

    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I'm very late but my November monthly total was £359. And at the end of November the yearly total was £1378.

I won the following in November:
Winter Wonderland Entry + Ice Skating tickets Lidi WEB £40
Refurbished iPhone 12 Checklist WEB £269
£50 Virgin Incentive Voucher Hankook Tyres WEB £50

Although the wins are good. I didn't get to use any of them. I did go to Winter Wonderland but at a Peak Time and the free tickets are only for off peak/standard sessions (If anyone wants the code, email me. There is still a week left to visit)

I wanted to sell the iPhone (I'm a Samsung girl!) and put the money in my savings but as it's Refurbished I'm finding it difficult, as ebay won't let you sell a refurbished phone unless you are registered to do so.

I mentioned this on another post but I messed up the Virgin vouchers, thought I was exchanging them for a gift card you could spend in Disneyland Paris, my sister is going next year and thought this would be a good gift but it was actually to put towards a trip when you book with a certain travel company.....so that was £40 wasted. Did put £10 on a Greggs voucher, so at least that will be used!

Hoping a few more wins come in before the end of the month, still a few more days. Good luck everyone, looking forward to seeing the December totals!

Well done on your wins shame you haven't got to use any of them. Have you looked at selling your iphone to CEX you can get an idea of what they will pay from their website and then either do it online or take it into one of their stores if you have one nearby. You will need an account with them and take ID into store. Info here in their faqs about selling to them. I've sold quite a few items to them in the past.

I think I will have to go this route, I would have preferred ebay as I know you can get more for stuff on there as CEX undercuts you. But something is better than nothing! Thanks @EnglishWelshie I'll try and pop into town next week and see if they will take it. I hope they take refurbished phones!

@EnglishWelshie I think CEX will take refurbished stuff, they give it all a grade. I won a phone earlier this year and sold it on ebay, but the buyer didn’t pay so I ended up having to go to CEX just to avoid any hassle after the ebay issue, it was a bit gutting to sell it for so little compared to the retail price but it was still free money  :)
  • @redfox5 @ally86 yes they will take refurbished phones. They used to give decent prices but are nowhere near as good as they used to be. Game also used to buy buy mobile phones I got better from them once than Cex as they used to match Cex and then beat their price by a certain percentage. Not sure what they are like now but could be worth asking if you have a store local to you.

Another option could be music magpie they buy phones and you can get a price online easily here https://www.musicmagpie.co.uk/entertainment/trade-in-games/

What about trying to sell on facebook marketplace but selling local where the buyer can collect or you could maybe deliver to the buyer.

😭😭😭 I have had no advent wins.... I was super busy with work lots of long 14hr days. Then I got this damn cough, and then I had a sciatica flare up ....ended up in a&e on boxing day

I will sort out the 2024 challenge tonight..... Sorry it's so late, I know we usually get it organised before advents start (anybody online if you've got any ideas I'm open to suggestions)

I am not expecting any wins tomorrow, so I don't think I'm suddenly going to sprint into the lead for this year's totals 🤣🤣🤣

Compers challenge 2024 wins!!!!.... Oct £60... £10 free spins, £50 palm, m&m pouch

I hope you're feeling better now and are taking it easy!

For the monthly themed challenge - I think as it's Olympics in 2024 maybe a sports based/olympics based prize theme for the opening month of the olympics?
