VMWare 16 good, VMWare 17 bad. What's going on?

Not having a good week for upgrades or updating.
Android 13
Garmin
Now VMWare.
No more updates for me any time soon!
Had VMWare 16 running no problem & Linux Mint installed on it. Everything working well.
Kept getting hit with update to 17 notifications so thought go on then I will, since it'll remove that annoying notice. What can go wrong?

Well, apparently that can go wrong.
I know it says <stuff> but I don't know what stuff it's saying.
Basically I just want to get the thing working that's all.

I've only recently started messing with Virtual Machines so still pretty much stumbling along - so how do you 'down'grade then? As simply opening the 16 installer hoping it'll let me shift down didn't work.
Do I just straight uninstall VMWare and then install 16 again? Thing is, I don't want to lose the Linux install and don't know if doing that would cause the loss or not?0 -

Check the CPU requirements for Player 17.0
It does look like they've stated this for several versions, and although they don't say prior to 2011 is not supported, you will find that it won't be guaranteed so you may not see this issue ever resolved.
That is assuming you are still running your AMD Phenom 2 X6 1055T ?
