I made a note after the last heatwave to look for some good bedroom fans for the next heatwave in the black Friday / January sales.

I have bought two Dimplex tower fans from Costco. The price difference between Costco and Amazon, paid for my annual online Costco membership each time The fans are excellent, very cooling and relatively quiet, with remote control.0
