How long do funds from Leeds building society to solicitor take?

My solicitor requested the mortgage funds this morning from Leeds building society. Roughly how long will they take?

If they asked for CHAPS it’s pretty much instant.
If BACS it can be 2-3 days.
Solicitors tend to draw down funds the day before completion - are you completing on Monday?
  • Completing on the 30th Nov but would love to hear they have hit solicitors account earlier

Why? You pay interest from the day it hits the solicitors account so why do you wish to pay more?!?!

Yes the interest rate is fixed but applied daily from the day the solicitor receives the funds.

    How did you get on?
  • The time it takes for the mortgage funds to be released can vary, but typically it can take several business days, up to a week or more. It depends on several factors such as the lender's processing time, the completeness of the required documentation, and any issues or complications that arise during the process. I would recommend contacting your solicitor or the lender for a more accurate and up-to-date estimate.
