Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark damp start to the day. Loads of laying water.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy..
Dinner last night was gammon, egg, chips and beans. Chicken and rice. Tonight I'm not sure - will try to find something different.
On day off so have all the normal chores to do.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Dry and not quite as cold this morning, I've done a load of washing but it's hanging on the pulley today, should be nearly dry by the time I get home.
Your young chap made me laugh out loud Ruby with his shake and vac! Sounds like you had a good day.
It sounds like you're cheering up your poorly friend Gers, I'm sure he appreciates your visits (and the drams).
Strange day at work yesterday but very peaceful, I'm sure it will be back to full throttle today. I managed to get some jobs done whilst it was quiet and had an early finish. Came home and made a start on the doll's house. I have to keep turning it to paint all the sides so it'll take a few days, must make sure it's dry tomorrow as the little one is coming to stay and I'll need to hide it!
Lovely meal out last night and a good catch up with my friend, she has family visiting from Hong Kong for Christmas so she's very excited.
Hope everyone is well and has a very happy Friday. Take care. XX

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Didn't manage to get on or even read yesterday - we had a big IT data move at work and I was helping colleagues all day long with issues. Back in the office again today so hoping it will be calmer.
Loving all the talk of grandchildren - not sure if that will be me for a while which is why I make the most of DS1's puppy, who incidentally we have at the moment as they are in Mexico (like you do...)
Dinner tonight is SW style carbonara. DH will make it and then go to his friends' house to watch the football. I probably won't see him so he'll plate some up for me. We had DR pork sausages last night - I got some out and put them in the fridge before leaving for work but DH did a man look and didn't see them, so got another pack out! Will be having them again tomorrow - luckily they are good sausages! I know what you mean @Gers - the website is so tempting!
Hope the water issue was sorted out @Nelski and didn't interfere with your support call.
I too giggled at shake n vac @RedRuby1231 - glad you were able to guide him towards the smellies.
Lots of train strikes coming up which means our Christmas work lunch is cancelled. Not a biggie for me but I do feel bad for the restaurants who will lose out. Not to be deterred, DH will drive to Birmingham for his - that man would go to the opening of an envelope.
Have a good day all and hugs to all those in need.

Morning folks. It's been wild outside all night and is still very noisy.Yesterday afternoon I cut up the cardboard boxes which had been cluttering up my back hall then took them to the recycling place. I bought a paper for my friend though when I saw him he was still in bed asleep. He woke briefly when I arrived, we exchanged only a couple of words before he drifted off again so I left. His carer wanted him out of bed so she could change the sheets but they didn't need changed so I persuaded her to let him be until a better day for him. I'm going back tomorrow.Today I have to wait in for a courier delivery which won't be a hardship. I've a couple of things to parcel up so might get that done. If I light the woodburner I'll end up not moving from it.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.10

Morning folks another brief one as still using phone. A new laptop is being delivered today and I'm hoping I don't have any dramas setting it up as I'm not that tech savvy! Have a good day all take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11

Good morning, it's a dry start here, and doesn't seem as cold.
Hope work goes ok Camelot.
Coxy, I smiled at your Dh doing a man look, my Dh does man looks as well, and dd's partner does. I don't know if my 2 sons do, they probably do.
The shake and vac made me laugh Ruby!!
DP1 your dgd sounds to be an absolute treasure, it's a lovely age.
Taff, I wonder if you're using the same mincemeat recipe as me, putting the mix in a low oven to melt the suet.
Hope you got the water problem sorted Nels.
The funeral went off all right yesterday, as well as these things do. It was so cold though, and started to rain when we were waiting to go in.
I'd left a chicken casserole in the slow cooker though so that was nice and warming.
I must tidy up a bit today, and tackle some ironing, though I don't iron some things that I used to, king size quilt covers for example, get aired and folded carefully and look fine. There's only us sees them anyway
I slept better last night so don't feel as if I've been knocked over the head this morning.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can - take care folks.

Morning all chilly and damp here not a lot happening i managed to book a cruise for DD2 ,DGS and I yesterday for june we got quite a good deal as they were already doing black friday we are leaving from Southampton so it means we can take all his bits with us i was stressing out about going to a hotel and not having a clean travel cot so this is ideal and there is plenty to do onboard for him i will be mainly looking after him as mum goes back to work in July so he will be more used to me .
TA Hope the lap top is nice and easy

Morning everyone I need to pop out in a minute need crumpets and a cabbage I have stripped the beds and made them up and made shepherds pie for tonight and one to freeze then it’s just to warm up with some veg when I get in not at work until 12 but we have enough in to keep me going today we have done loads of work this week so I will take my bedding in to wash and dry save me some money and there has got to be some perks of the job . Coxy my hubby does the man look I think they practice it he was at hospital yesterday to see about how his new knee was doing and hopefully get a date for his other one apparently they x rayed them both and said yes his new one was doing brilliant and could now give him enough support to get the other one done but he never asked if they had any idea when that would be he said he didn’t know who to ask I said but that’s what you went to see the consultant about well he probably won’t know he said so I’m just hoping it’s in the next 6 months but it’s anybodys guess . Well at least it looks to be dry here for the next couple of days and little dog is much recovered don’t know what happened there I think she’s like me feeling her age . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that want them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all
Dry and bright here which makes a change its lovely to see a bit of sun !
I had a terrible night last night just couldnt get to sleep, I was still awake at 2 and then woke at 5 I managed to go off again for a couple of hours but I feel a bit jaded today !
DD is off today so her and I will take the dogs out for a good walk everywhere is very muddy so they may need a bath afterwards, little dog is so good she will run up the stairs after a walk and jump in the bath and sit down ready to be washed big pup is the complete opposite and DD has to drag and lift her into the bath ! such a wuss !
We are having a takeaway tonight as DD has sold the WM she got for her new flat so she said she would treat us which will be lovely, so no cooking for me tonight.
Glad the shake and vac story made everyone laugh, I had a proper chuckle in the shop too.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all....sunny! for now...decided on meatloaf for yesterdays supper, totally forgot I was meeting friends for coffee until almmost too late, so no supper for me but I did have two very decadent hot chocolates instead. Today I'm going to take a jar of mincemeat, some freebie apples and some of the last tomatoes from the greenhouse to OHs mum. OH is helping a friend to paint his flat today so that leaves me with absolutely no excuse not to house-ify the place up. Totally got distracted again, foundsome webbing and I'll bind the edges of the rug myself, and thenwent off to the bathroom because something fell in the shower and ended up measuring forvinyl tiles...Mashto make tonight to gowith the meatloaf and that's it for today....Scarlet, yes, that;s the one, I added more mixed spice and a bit more orange juice, it had a lovelyfresh taste before it was cooked . Glad the funeral went ok...Coxy, you can cook them and freeze them if you like. And yeah, definite man looking here too..TA, happy new laptop! Takje care all, I've had enough of this keyboard for today....
