Can I claim tax relief on pension admin?

Hello all

I lived in France until 2018, and had a Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Scheme (QROPS). I'm in the process of repatriating the QROPS fund, but someone has (this morning) suggested that I look into whether I can claim tax relief on the various charges (administration, management, service, interest) which have been levied on the fund. It would not apply for the period prior to 2018, when I paid tax to the French revenue, but I just wonder if it might apply in the UK. Any ideas, and if so where would I look?

Thanks again in advance.

By default, any charges paid in the pension have had tax relief as the money in the pension has come from contributions that had relief in the first place.

    So, no.

  • Thanks for that. It’s fairly obvious when explained like that!
