I think you mean Task Manager, not Device Manager
They will be running but Task Manager doesn't show you everything. They belong to something installed in Apps or Add/Remove programs which will be Apple related.1 -
^^^ Totally this, in fact, don't delete anything from program files folders under normal circumstances, always uninstall the software.flaneurs_lobster said:Have you tried uninstalling the iCareFone program using Settings/Apps & features?2 -
Yes, I did use the iCareFone uninstall program and there was a comment telling me that some files would have to be deleted manually.flaneurs_lobster said:Have you tried uninstalling the iCareFone program using Settings/Apps & features?
When I checked, I found those files and when attempting to delete I got the error message as posted above.
I have rolled back to a recent back up and they are now gone.
Many thanks to all for your comments :-)

For the future, or others with similar problems, Microsoft Power Toys now includes File Locksmith. It adds a shell extension so you right-click a file and select "What's using this file?" then it gives the info and an "end task" button to kill the awkward process. The only other really useful toy (for me) is power rename.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
