Barclays Partner Finance - when do they actually take payment?

I set up a 24 month 0% agreement with Barclays Partner Finance for a new iPhone which all went through OK, and was advised my first payment would be taken from my bank account (NatWest) on 21/11/22 i.e. today

But so far they've not taken any payment, and I can't see a direct debit set up for doing so (don't know if they use direct debit or a different method however)

Does anyone know when they are likely to actually take the funds from my bank account?

In my experience, most DDs tend to get taken pretty much at the start of the day that they're scheduled.

But if you can't see the DD set up on your account, it's got to be worth a quick call to them to check.  If there was some issue in setting up the DD (a typo in the account number, for instance) then you want to make sure the payment is made manually until it's resolved, otherwise you'll get a late payment fee and a marker on your credit history.

I did the same last year, they said the first payment would be 15/11, they actually took it 16/11.

I am on my second phone financed via Barclays - do you have your Welcome to Barclays Partner Finance email? Check the DD details on there are correct, that should confirm that it is set up as needed. I found mine from last Sept that has a date of 23/10 for first deduction, I can't see my transactions from back then anymore but they tend to take it on 24-26 of each month since then so it seems likely, as mentioned above, that the money will be taken tomorrow.

ETA - yes it is a DD, can't remember when mine appeared but I can see it on my current account as a monthly DD.

Yep, went through today after the usual Natwest nightly maintenance

Direct Debit now appears and first payment taken
