Welcome back NMLC hope work will be ok.There's a hard frost this morning, everything is sparkling. I've got an appt at 9.30 with the nurse at the Drs for a blood test, and I'm frightened in case I slip and break something, since I've been advised that I'm at high risk of a fracture. Ironically the blood test is one that I have to have before having the bone forming implant that I have have twice yearly. DH will take me, usually I walk. What lovely news Snoozer, congratulations to you all, I'm pleased they're both ok.Gers, I got my sewing mojo back, thank you!Camelot, sorry to read that you didn't feel well yesterday, hope you're a bit better today.TA, hope you enjoyed the show, you must be so proud of your dgds.Glad to see your posts Nels and Nra.Coxy, hope you get something sorted about the sofa.Taff you seem full of busy as usual, you and Izzy are a pair!Hope everyone has a good day today.Take care and keep warm folks.9

Morning All
Thanks for starting nmlc, hope you enjoyed your time off.
Cold and frosty this morning, need to wrap up warm. Mondays are always cold at school as the heating isn't on all weekend.
Feeling much better this morning, had a sensible day of eating very little so my tummy has had a rest. Will try to continue that this week as some not very sensible eating has crept into my days!
Very lazy day yesterday, mostly watched TV and slept quite well last night.
Go steady Scarlet.
Hope you enjoyed the show TA.
Happy Monday, take care. XX

Morning folks. The soup making seemed to last for a very long time yesterday. Boiling up the chicken carcass for stock and then making lentil soup with it probably wasn't worth it in money terms. However, the smell and taste of it was worth the effort. In the afternoon I lit the woodburner as I felt a bit chilly, probably because I had the back door open to let out the steam from cooking. What that did was to let a beautiful little robin into the kitchen. It was fluttering desperately at the window which I can't reach. I closed the door to the utility room, opened the back door wide and mobilised a friend to come down to rescue it. Five minutes later it was gone. 😀 No need for the rescue party after all.Later in the afternoon a young friend dropped round to change a light bulb for me, open the jammed window and put back up the fallen down smoke alarms. I'm glad I had the stove going.Today I'll take a bag of rubbish to the tip and call into the pharmacy, I've got another attack of oral thrush, most odd as it wasn't there on Friday when I had my dental appointment.Camelot - thank goodness you're on the mend.Snoozer - I hope that all's well with mum and baby. And Steve too.I'm still under my duvet as it's dark and cold outside. Another half hour here will be perfect.Happy Monday to all.11

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Still dark here and forecast for rain. I'm off to the London office today and will take my new see through (think her late Majesty) umbrella. Excited to use it - it's the small things...!
I lost 2lb at FC @-taff which was totally unexpected. Hoping to keep the momentum up, but very hard now 'meeting up with friends' season is upon us.
Exciting baby news @snoozer! Congratulations to Laura and Brian and very exciting for Esben to be a big brother.
Glad you feel better @camelot1001 xx
Food tonight is a SC chicken curry which DH will sort whilst I'm at work.
Have a good day all,

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Hope you didn't spend all your time off doing jobs.
Blooming 'eck it was 1 deg when I checked my phone at 6.00 with a thick frost everywhere. Then we have heavy rain forecast later. Pleased I have no plans of going out.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Nutcracker last night, it was absolutely lovely and of course the girls danced beautifully. Proud grandma! Their next performances are at the King's Hall in Ilkley at panto time! Rehearsals for that have been underway for a while.
As I have still to pass Go with Xmas present buying I have promised myself I will start searching t'internet for some ideas. So once necessary jobs have been done this morning that's my plan!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies or fed up. Take care all, keep warm and safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all damp and dark here at the moment feels very wintery .Haven't been posting as had a busy few days with DD2 and baby to stay goodness knows you will never see me when he comes 3 days a week in July when mum goes back to work. She is enjoying being off with him at the moment though and seems to be coping well with the changes. DH has a rotten cold and spent most of the day in bed yesterday he is coughing and has headaches as well as just feeling yuk. I have taken to wearing a mask anytime he comes downstairs tested for covid but thankfully he was negative

Morning all. Guess what? Yes, it's raining again! But as I'm indoors no biggie really. I was up earlier honest, just got distracted again...Have asked for some apples on freegle to stew and freeze and an offcut of carpet which I'll get bound as a rug for in front of the fire. I have beans cooking a minute to practice bbq beans. The puled pork came out well, but I completely overcooked the sauce it was in, so must remember to cook for less time next time. Blummin nice though....That's tonights supper with something..beans for me, no idea yet for OH. Maybe some decadent mash...I've just been looking at stuff and seen an antiques place about an hour away so have decided to go there this week or next week, looks like I might find something interesting for a present for my sister there.Ruby, happy brithday to your mum! Coxy, well done at fc! Scarlet, hope your appt went ok..Camelot, glad you're better..bella, I'm not that busy honest, Izzy puts me to shame. Enjoy the family time..TA, glad you get to enjoy being entertained by your ggirls
Gers, it does take a while doesn't it but the results are really worth it..glad to hear the robin made it out without too much fuss
Izzy, you literally go girl! Hugs n stuff for anyone who needs them, shout out to the mia and take care anyone who isn't feeling 100%
