Before I went to make my coffee (just across the hall) I turned in my electric blanket again, it was a joy to get into a warming bed after 10 minutes out if it. 😀Yesterday was good. I left Alan's place just after nine, did some shopping and was home by 12.30pm. For the first time in years I bought a fresh chicken instead of jointed pieces. When it was cooking the smell was not only delicious but took me right back to my childhood days. A whole chicken was something of a luxury in those days, a rare treat. My treat yesterday was eating all the crispy skin before it got cold. 🤤Later on I took all the meat off the carcass, now that's such a messy job, something else I'd also forgotten about. Today's job is to make some chicken stock, it can simmer away whilst I idle my day away.My new sheepskin slippers are so cosy, no more cold toes for me. The downside is that the soles are fairly stiff so they're a bit clumpy. However, I will take clumpy feet over cold toes when downstairs.I hope that everyone is doing OK. Any baby news Snoozer?Happy Saturday to all.10

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.Glad you had a good day yesterday Gers, sorry about your filling dropping out though. I hope the affected tooth stays painless until you can get a new filling.I did a bit of sewing on the tree skirt, not much though. I could have cracked on really, I seem to have to push myself. I sometimes have a tendency to wander the house, gazing out of the windows, starting jobs and not finishing them. (I've made myself sound quite dopey!)Also did a big shop at Aldi yesterday, it was busy but not heaving, thank goodness. You seem to have been busy on the sewing front Coxy, I'll have to take a leaf out of your book.Today It'll be general tidying and a bit of sewing.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can today, take care folks.10

Morning All
After a dry day yesterday it's very wet and miserable this morning. Glad I put the washing out yesterday, it was almost dry so I put it on the airer in the living room when I went to bed and it's all dry this morning. Work clothes can go in later then I'm all up to date.
Went to Glasgow yesterday with DD and the little one, she whined most of the time (she's got a snotty nose again) and after lunch I had an upset tummy so all in all not a good day. Didn't eat anything last night and had tummy ache in the night so I may have a nanna nap later.
Scarlet, I tend to do a lot of thinking when I have a project on the go, you're not alone!
Your trip to the coast sounds lovely NRA.
Nothing organised for today although I'll have to go food shopping at some point.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS for starting us off. Overnight rain here but now fine and allegedly staying that way for the rest of the day.
I came home with my trolley quite full yesterday but, sadly, not even one Christmas gift! I did a stock up of some store cupboard stuff and some bargainous pizzas to keep the DGDs happy. I did, however, buy some gift bags and tags so a step in the right direction!!
I am doing some batch cooking then ironing this morning before a lazy afternoon. Then tonight I am off to watch the 2 youngest perform in The Nutcracker. This will be their 4th performance over the w/e. The rehearsals have been endless so they should all be foot perfect!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or MIA. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers
I went to a Christmas Fayre yesterday - small, but managed to get a personalised gift for DIL2B and two handmade decorations to put in SIL and BIL's hampers. I like to support independent craft traders where I can.
Met up with DSis and BIL for a mooch around our town's CSs and got a couple of bits to Ebay in support of my JoGLE fundraising. Will be listing those later. DH and I then went to the shopping mall around 5pm to sofa shop. We have found a range we like but it's c.£600 more expensive. I need to have the conversation with the store about how that's going to work. We also got a few presents for Nieces and Nephews whilst there.
We have leaves to sweep again (never ending leaves...) and some pictures to put up today. Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognaise so nice and easy.
Have a great time at the theatre @TravellingAbuela
Hope you feel better soon @camelot1001
Happy sewing @ScarletRibbons!
Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies.
