Olio as a Food Waste Hero collector did mean you hardly have to spend anything on food bills if you get a couple of good Tesco Express slots every week. Then you can request from others at the same time to get the bits you don't collect.
Although Olio has become a victim of its own success on raising awareness of food waste. In the last year the collections are poorer but many in the public have realised that they can get half price meat at 3:30pm in most supermarkets. Then final reductions by 7:30pm. So very little of any great use is now left for the Olio collector.
It's now a classic case of diminishing returns as an Olio Food waste Hero.

Plus you often get landed with a load of bread you can't get shot of.
