Aldi Misleading Website

Aldi were advertising on their website Haysmiths Blackberry & Raspberry Bramble Gin. IT said it was reduced from £14.99 to £9.99. It notified me it was out of stock on line but could be purchased in store. There was even a button to help me find my local store.(see below) I drove to the store only to be told the price there was not £9.99 but £14.99. This is clearly misleading. I phoned their Customer Service to complain but they said on line and in store are entirely different but I pointed out their web site does not make it clear and their website by giving a link to find the store suggests that the price would be the same and if not should be highlighted as such.

A lot of stores have different prices and promotions online and instore.

It’s an online offer that’s sold out and instore price isn’t on promo, they are totally within their rights to do it.

  • Regardless of whether or not they are within their rights (and I'm not saying they aren't) if what the op says is correct then it's a bit of a poor show by ALDI.

Op - are you sure that there's no reference to price differences on the website?

Had this a few times in Morrisons and Asda, the latter stated the online prices are different and don't need to be reflected instore. For Morrisons especially, I no longer look at their alcohol deals online because only once ever got the same deal instore.
