I've just received my October electric bill (3 Oct - 3 Nov).  I appear to have had the 19.91p per unit reduction for the only first three days of November.

SSE had emailed previously saying '...you'll receive a further reduction from 1 November to 31 March to compensate you for not receiving a reduction in October'.  They didn't specify how this would be paid.

I've emailed SSE - anyone got further info on this while I await their reply?

As I understand it, your bill is for 3rd October to 3 November - the reduction started on 1 November so you will only have 3 days discount this month.  The unit price is adjusted to take the month of October into account.  Your next bill will have a full months reduction in price.  Hope this helps.

19.91p is the reduction from 1 November for 5 months which purports to equate to a 17p reduction over 6 months.

My calculations show that the comparative reduction is approximate:
