TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Tesco Mobile – Black Friday 2022 – MORE MORE MORE” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

 

 

1.Entry ROUTES and Costs	Entries are restricted to one entry per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   (A)     Online at absoluteradio.co.uk/competitions or planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/competitions/   Online entry is free of charge.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	2.1 The On-air game   2.1.1 Pre-Registration   i. Anyone interested in playing the on-air game must register their interest on the online competition page which includes agreeing to these terms and conditions. Refer to Section 1 for entry routes. ii. Registering to play the on-air game does not provide any guarantee that you will play the on-air game or win a prize.   2.1.2 Shortlisting and being invited to play the on-air game   The Absolute Radio production team will draw a shortlist of potential contestants at random from the pre-registered entries.   The Absolute Radio production team will contact you to check your availability & eligibility to play the on-air game.     Being contacted does not guarantee you will play the on-air game.   Being invited to play the on-air game does not guarantee you will win a prize or prizes.     If you have been selected to play the on-air game, you must be contactable on the phone number you provided and, on the time and date agreed with the Absolute Radio production team.   The Absolute Radio production team reserve the right to choose another contestant from the shortlist if they are unable to contact you.     2.1.3 The competition will air during the Hometime Show (“the Show”) with Bush & Richie (“the presenters”) between 1600 and 1900, Monday to Friday during the competition period I Highlighted in Section 3. Entry Period.   The contestant will then join Bush and Richie on air and the on-air game will start. The contestant will have the chance to answer 5 questions. Each question will be multiple choice, and you will have 10” to answer after each question is finished. Each question is worth £400. After each question, Bush and Richie will ask you if you’d like to continue to the next question (up to question 5) or leave with the money you’ve got. If you chose to continue, and answer the next question incorrectly, you forfeit all money previously won. If the contestant loses all the money previously accumulated, they will be given a £100 consolation prize.     2.2 The Online game   i. Registering to play the on-air game automatically includes you into an online draw to win a cash prize.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period: 3.1 The On-air Game   i. Pre-registration to play the on-air game will be open from 00:01 on Wednesday 16th November 2022 until 12:00 on Friday 25th November at 10.30am 2022.   ii. The on-air competition will broadcast on Hometime with Bush & Richie from Monday 21st November 2022 to Friday 25th November 2022, between 16:00 and 19:00 each day.   iii. The competition may be recorded at a different time, the details of which will be determined by the Absolute Radio production team during the contestant shortlisting stage. Refer to Section 2.1.1.   3.2 The Online Game i. The online game will be open from 00:01 on Wednesday 16th November 2021 until 23.59 Monday 28th November 2021.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Entrants to the on-air and the online competition must fulfil all competition the specific terms and conditions mentioned below, in addition to Bauer Media’s Competition General Terms & Condition:   i. Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry. iii. Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.   iv. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.   v. If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. 5. THE PRIZE	On-air Prize.   5 winners will receive the following prize (the “Prize”):   Up to £2,000 in cash via Cheque or bank transfer. For each question the contestant gets correct they will earn £400. The maximum amount that can be won is £2,000. If a contestant gets a question incorrect, they lose all their money accumulated.  If a contestant answers incorrectly, they will win a £100 consolation prize.   Prizes are non-transferable and non-refunable.   Online Prize   i. There will be 1 x winner awarded £2,000 in cash via cheque or bank transfer.   Prizes are non-transferable & non-refundable.

 

OTHER CONDITIONS

 

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. If you have opted in to receive marketing communications, then your details will be used in accordance with the information given when you ticked the opt-in box and gave your consent. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Terms.
• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.
• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.
• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
